Yes, a real live bear made its first appearance on the Cornell sporting scene in 1915 and was followed by three other bears. These bears, who were flesh and blood, honey-loving, mischievous, and at times ill-tempered, have given Cornellians the tradition of the Big Red Bear. Learn more about the true story...
Our 35th reunion is now complete and full of fond memories for those who participated. Here you can view over 500 images provided by our classmates of this momentous weekend and the pre-reunion parties leading up to it.
Accordingly, we are redesigning this web site to focus more on the nostalgic events of our undergraduate years. This will be a major project that culminates with our 40th Reunion in June, 2011.
Visit this section now so you can help us build this collection of facts and pictures. Volunteers to help with the project are encouraged. We need your help developing an historic time line for our undergraduate years.
We'll still provide you with class news and memories of past reunions. The quick access from here to the online Cornell Alumni Directory will make it easier for you to reconnect with your friends. You can share with the current university your success by investigating the many giving opportunities or by supporting Cornell's major capital initiatives. Of course we want your help supporting the Class of '71 by paying your dues. On the left we have included a list of our favorite links to Cornell web pages to give you an easy way to stay connected to the university. Check out the close up "Hi Mom!" setting for the CU Live web cam overlooking Ho Plaza and Willard Straight Hall.
We hope you'll come back to our online home often to see what's new or to find easy links to other Cornell web pages.
